My Favorite Ottomans

Who doesn’t love a good ottoman? I enjoy putting my feet up at the end of the day and an ottoman is a perfect place to do just that. What is wonderful is that not only are they meant for your feet, but also to sit on. I use them when designing for client’s who like to entertain. It’s a great way to add extra seating in a smaller environment. Ottomans are a furniture piece that anyone can have in their home, whether it be a traditional one with bamboo detailing or a modern lucite ottoman. They add texture and color and are a perfect accessory with a punch of personality. These are just a few of my favorites to use!

My Favorite Sconces

Sconces are one of my favorites lighting accessories. They can be functional or purely decorative, swing arm or stationary, they come in different textures, colors, styles, and work with any environment. Wall sconces come either hardwired or with a cord. The hardwired sconce has a permanent look and also looks better in a more formal environment. Sconces with cords are very trendy in a casual space and are also easier to change out and less labor for installation. Some of my favorite places to put them are near a bed for a perfect reading light or flanking a piece of art work for extra ambiance. Take a look at these beauties below for some inspiration.

My Favorite Baskets

How perfect is a beautiful basket? It not only acts as functional storage, but can also be a fun textural accent in a room. In smaller spaces baskets can be a great solution for organization. Some of my favorite places to use them are open bookshelves or under consoles where you can really show them off. Materials range from felt to seagrass and available sizes and shapes are endless. Baskets can have a neutral tone or add a punch of color to the room. These are my favorite baskets when filling an empty corner or finding a place to store clutter.

My Favorite Bar Carts

Cheers my friends and happy hump day! I want to talk about one of my favorite decorative pieces, the bar cart. Their presence in a room says “I like to entertain” and an attractive furniture choice for a dining room or entertainment area like a living room. From young to old, modern to traditional, this piece works for so many households and demographics. Closed cabinets can also store your drinks and are ideal for homes with little ones wanting to touch everything. An open cart really shows off what you have to offer and gives the owner a chance to accessorize. There are plenty of styles to choose from, but I’ve selected a few of my favorites below to share. Here is to a fabulous rest of your week. Bottoms up!
