My Favorite Acrylic Pieces

Acrylic serves several purposes when designing a space. It adds style, a unique material, and it contains beauty while allowing the other elements in the room to shine. Acrylic can be an accessory or furniture piece, it can be detailed or perfectly simple. It’s a terrific way to blend traditional with modern. Acrylic is a contemporary material, but can marry with timeless pieces beautifully and it fits perfectly in a minimalist environment as well. Although it may seem invisible, this durable material will not fade in the background. I use acrylic to help soften a room that already has a lot of pattern or punch. It lets other pieces do the talking. For example, a soft acrylic coffee table placed over a show stopping Persian rug, an acrylic lamp on top of a textural seagrass end table, or an ornate acrylic chair against a pop of color or busy wallpaper.
